“With evolving legislation and incoming regulations across the EU and beyond, isla recognises the need to stay at the forefront of these changes..."
Three new membership packages will help empower organisations within the events industry to reach their sustainability goals through education, opportunities to take action and community-focused events.
isla, the non-profit organisation heading-up the charge towards a sustainable future for events, have unveiled a new membership offering, designed to provide more tailored sustainability solutions for agencies, brands, associations, venues and supply chain businesses.
Anna Abdelnoor, CEO and founder of isla reflects; “with evolving legislation and incoming regulations across the EU and beyond, isla recognises the need to stay at the forefront of these changes, translating these into impacts on the event industry and ensuring the sector is equipped to respond and act on climate and legislative change.
Designed to instil confidence within the events community and support members to make progress and take action in a changing sustainability landscape, the new offering focuses on providing expert guidance, practical tools and building a community of action-taking changemakers.
As part of the new membership offering, new and existing isla members will have access to a membership package that offers the best support for where they are currently on their sustainability journey.
New packages ‘Pathfinder’, ‘Progressor’ and ‘Pacesetter,’ are each tailored to provide support and resources to suit member needs, whether members are just beginning their journey or they’re ready to lead the charge.
To support individuals within the industry, isla is also launching a Professional Package, expanding the knowledge-pool for all members. isla aims to ensure no one is left behind and everyone is equipped with the support they need to make individual progress, with impact on an industry level.
isla members will get access to a host of benefits, including training sessions, one-to-one office hours with isla experts, a step-by-step framework for achieving sustainability goals and access to exclusive events, where members will gain further insight into issues experienced by the wider events community.
Ellie Ashton Melia, Community Director at isla has overseen the development of this new membership. She commented: ”Each aspect of isla’s new membership offering has been carefully curated to empower the events industry, inspire action and create a supportive community to deliver on shared sustainability ambitions.”
